The St. James Foundation of North Carolina represents community philanthropy at its best. We invest in our community and change lives by investing in education.

Our endowment is funded by the generous contributions from members of the community and the earnings are distributed through annual grants to educational programs in Brunswick County.

There is no better way to improve the quality of life in Brunswick County and invest in our future than by supporting the St. James Foundation of North Carolina.

Only the beginning of what we can do together!

2023 - Southport Elementary School - $3100 to purchase kits to study water pollution and its effects on the community, math manipulatives, models to study the human body and materials to build solar ovens. Students in grades 3-5 participated in standards-based activities.

2024 - Virginia Williamson Elementary School - $3054 for 120 fifth graders to explore the earth’s water cycle, by building models to simulate the process. These activities are all part of  Empowering Future Scientists: Hands-On STEM Exploration Program.

2024 - West Brunswick High School and Brunswick County Early College Students - $4000 for the FIRST Robotics Team.  They will complete at the local and state levels with a chance to compete nationally. Founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST Robotics is a competition where teams of high school students design, program, and build industrial-sized robots to play an action-packed game. They compete on a themed field as part of a three-team alliance in the spirit of cooperation.
